Prompts!

Prompt one:
Imagination

The mind drifts off in a never ending spiral.
Barbie are suddenly alive, and taking over the world!
Being in a bath tub is like being in a
huge,
pool.
But when the barbies are put into a big black bag and taken away by the mean, disgusting, smelly truck and the
bath tub is suddenly just a
bath tub.
The next thing you know you have a 5 page essay due tomorrow about Native Americans and their life style.
All you have is "The Native Americans.." and your name on a blank page.
Where did the barbies go?
Why doesn't my mind drift off in the same
never
ending
spiral.

Prompt two: Loss
No name

Time has changed
from 2 yeards.
It doesn't always have to be an aspect of growing up but
for me,
it was.
It's been 2 years since they slept in the same bed.
It's been 2 years since she slept over with him, here.
Everyday I have to
pretend,
that it's still the same,
but really,
it isn't.
If it wasn't for...
ugh.
I can't even say.
I can't even write it.
I can't even write it, even if I
Know
somone won't see it.
It's not one fault.
It's both of them.
I can't help but think
if the past years were fake
and when the stupid comments were made
now I
Know
they were true.
Everything was a
lie.

Draft The perks of being a wallflower

(Not completely finished still needs some work)
Olivia's ELA response.

In the book The Perks of Being a Wallflower the issues that are dealt with a boy known as Charlie is figuring out who you truly are and not being ashamed of it.

In my book The Perks Of Being a Wallflower, is about a boy who is 16, writing in depth letters explaining what goes on in his life to an anonymous person. He isn't only writing to a person that is anonymous he is also keeping himself and his friends under cover with fake names. These letters are basically his diary but you never know if he actually sends the letters that he writes. He might even be writing to himself. He says everything and anything in these letters to help his feelings and he doesn't want anyone to figure out who he is in these letters. He's a boy with friends but doesn't tell them things that really bother him and how he actually feels. At some points he is feminine and I actually think he is gay but then I remember he is in love with this girl that doesn't love him back in the same way but more in a friend way. You can tell by the first page that he doesn't know or like who he is because he keeps everything undercover.

When I am reading the book I always wonder why is writing to an anonymous person and why he keeps himself anonymous. Well I have 2 thoughts about that. One I think it is because it is the way the author wants you to think and its the authors writing style, just for you to really focus on the story and not much on the characters. He does give fake names and makes you think thats the actual names but then you remember there not and so then I think, well lets say there weren't any names in this and they weren't fake or anything there just weren't any names and so you just focused mainly on the story and what is going on. It's complicated and it's the story of a 16 year old boy growing up so you really have to capture every detail. The other reason is,  I think the character is hidden is because he is self conscience and he actually doesn't want any one to know; because not only is he hiding his name he is writing to someone that you have no idea who it is and hiding himself so he probably doesn't like who he is. In the text it says,
"Please don't try to figure out who this person is because then you might find out who I am, and I really don't want that to happen" (page 2)

The reason why I think he keeps everything undercover, who he is and who he is writing to because he doesn't know who he is either and for him to write in anonymous it's the only way he can express his feelings. I think he in unknown to the person he is writing to because he is embarrassed of himself and how he loves people and his family relationships and how he is affected by everything.

Right now in the book you can tell that he is an okay kind of relationship with his family. He had an amazing relationship with his aunt but she died when he was younger and from then on he was crushed. He's parents have always been there for him but you can tell when you're reading it, there's just something missing with their relationship. His brother is out playing football and he has on and off fights with his sister; but that's usually with a sibling.
When he's with his friends though he is a completely different person. Someone who hides himself and I don't wanna say he pretends to be someone else but sometimes I feel as he does. He has to hide that he loves this girl, when he does. Sometimes I feel he just doesn't fit in and he's new to these friends- his best friend, Michaela also just died and so know he has no one except the girl he loves, her brother and their friends.

All of the things that had happened with his friends, famiey and etc. affects him a lot; because like everyone thats how you become you. He is who he is, he hides himself because that is who he really is because his fmailey and friends made him like that. They made him so that he was always the loving boy but has his moments and also he never really talked in his family. He had only one friend until he met Patrick and Sam and they had made a change on him that probably made him a better person.

This book has been very good so far and I'm excited to keep reading to see how he will change. For my prediction I think he will find out who he is and actually stop writing the letters and tell who everyone is and find out who he truly is. I think he's friends and family will be more supportive farther in the book and also he will get the girl in the end because she knows she loves him back even though she also has a boyfriend.
